Heartshaped lips! ♥

Hello everyone! How are you doing?
I have found a new (but healthy) obsession lately. Of course I love my pin-up clothes and my red lipsticks, but I've gone a step further.

I saw a post on Tumblr of a girl with heart shaped lips (not as extreme as Lady Gaga or anything) and I loved it! So I tried it myself....
And now I'm addicted!
Want to take a look at the pictures?

The lipstick that I used is "Russian Red" by MAC.

Do you like heart shaped lips?

MAC "Russian Red" lipstick review

Back in the days, when I was learning how to do my makeup from youtube tutorials, I saw nothing else than MAC in the videos. I thought that it must be a really good brand if every single guru used it. Especially the lipsticks fascinated me.
I have waited a long time, but last month I finally made my way to the MAC store and got my own MAC lipstick. The colour I got is "Russian Red", which is my description of "the perfect red".

The MAC lipsticks come in very simple yet classy packaging. It's a black tube, with a few glitters. I was actually surprised to see the tube had glitters, because on videos you just see the black part. The lipstick itself doesn't have any glitters in it, I don't like that very much. I'm more of a matt lipstick kind of girl.

And this is what the lipstick looks like. It's insanely pigmented and quite creamy - which makes it easy to apply and it doesn't dry out your lips. It also lasts longer than any of the lipsticks that I own at the moment, which is really nice. I guess all the reviews aren't overdone after all!

See you soon!

Revlon "Kiss me Coral" lipstick review

Hello everyone! Part twentythousand of my lipstick obsession! Today I present to you this lovely orange toned lipstick by Revlon called "Kiss me coral". I know it's a bit sad, but this is actually my first Revlon product. Ever.
Well, I guess there's a first for everything, isn't there?! This is also my first ever orange lipstick! Normally I go for red, but change can be good, don't you think?

I can't even begin to explain why I love this lipstick so much, but I'll try. Let's start with packaging. I think, even though this lipstick isn't really super expensive, that it does look very luxurious. Black and gold, it's beautiful!

Ah, and the colour! It's super pretty! I am quite into red, berry and orange lipsticks. I think I wouldn't have bought it if it was any brighter but I though this was still acceptable.

This lipstick has a rather creamy texture which makes it easy to apply. It doesn't survive a meal, though, I always touch up my lipstick after eating, even if it's not really needed, but this one does need it a bit. Also, look how pigmented the lipstick is!

I am so excited about this product, I think I might add some more Revlon to my collection soon... You know what they say about first impressions, and this first impression couldn't have been better!

Thanks for reading!

E.L.F. lipstick review

A lipstick as red as a cherry. What pin-up girl lover wouldn't like that?! Years and years, since the start of my pin-up, vintage ànd makeup obsession, I have been looking for "the perfect red". A few weeks ago I saw this baby online and I decided to order it! What am I talking about? I'm talking about "Cheerful Cherry", a lipstick by E.L.F. cosmetics!

First things first: the packaging! I'm probably not the only one who tends to "like the product more" when the packaging is cute. I don't know, cute packaging is just a way to trick me into buying the product! Ah, marketing tricks! I know what you are, I just can't resist you!

This lipstick comes in a matt black tube, which I love. I don't know why, but I have this thing with matt packaging. I like it with lipsticks and I love it when my foundation has matt glass. I just think it looks fancy. Aside from the brand name "eyes lips face" there are no other details, no patterns or anything. I don't think that's needed either.

Here's what I saw when I first opened the tube and rolled out the lipstick. As you can see, a beautiful red appeared! Love-ly! I don't think it looks like a cherry, because it's not very deep red, but that's okay! It has more of an orange undertone to it, I think.

Swatch! Even though this is a very cheap product, the pigmentation isn't crappy! Don't you just love it when that happens? I know I do!

And this is how it looks on my lips! Even though it's a matt lipstick, it looks a little bit shiny on my lips. I'm not bothered by that, I think my lips look very moisturized and healthy this way.
The lipstick glides on, it's quite creamy which makes it smooth and oh so easy to use. Without eating, this lipstick lasts me quite long but after eating lunch I did have to touch up a little.

That's it! Conclusion? I love this lipstick! Budget but good quality. Nice to use, lovely packaging. Yeah, I'm quite happy with this lipstick! More to come...?
Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

NEW IN: lipsticks!

Hello lovelies! How are you doing? Are you enjoying the holiday?
Long time no talk, right? I have been doing a lot of fun stuff! I went shopping recently and I wanted to show you the three newest lipsticks that I got. They're not red, but all quite classy and bold. Today I'll just be showing them to you. Reviewing is for later!

Bourjois "Famous Fushia" from the Shine Edition collection. Beautiful hot pink lipstick that feels like a lipbalm!

Bourjois "Violine Strass" from the Rouge Edition collection. A darker, more purple lipstick.

Kate Moss by Rimmel London in "107". Similar to "Violine Strass" but more red than purple.

Do you like them?
Have a nice day, and stay safe!

Affordable pink lipsticks - affordable series part 6

Hi sweeties! Part six of the affordable series! It's going really fast!
I blogged about the red lipsticks I liked and now I'm going to talk about (hot) pink lipsticks.
I don't really have many hot pink lipsticks but the ones I have are cute and affordable. I have two lipsticks by Catrice and one by NYX.

F.l.t.r.: Catrice "Pink me up", NYX "Eucalyptus", Catrice "Pinkadilly Circus".

All of the tubes are really similar; black tubes, pink stickers at the bottem. Only the NYX lipstick has a little more decoration on the cap of the tube.

And here are the swatches. As you can see the middle lipstick (the one by NYX) has a blue undertone, something that you don't see with the other two lipsticks.
The lipsticks are obviously very well pigmented, easy to apply and matte, I like them that way. These are my three personal - affordable - favourite (hot) pink lipsticks. I hope you enjoyed!

Affordable red lip products - series part 2

Hello sweeties!
Today I'm continuing my affordable products series. I'm going to be talking about red lip products today. I have quite a few of them (all drugstore) and there are great drugstore products out there! Today I'm showing you my three favourites!

They're by Rimmel London, Catrice and Miss Sporty. The last one is only available in Holland, I'm sorry if you don't live there.

If you are interested in beauty and makeup, the first product will be familiar, I think. It's one of the lipsticks from the Kate Moss for Rimmel London collection. There were many many beautiful colours but I only got the bright red one, because that was the one that I was most interested in. It's called "Kiss of Life". The colour is insanely pigmentated!

The second one is a stay matte lip cream by Catrice. It's like a lip gloss, only matt. The colour is really bright (even brighter than the one by Rimmel London). It's called "Silky red".

Next I have my Miss Sporty lipstick, which is called "Malaga". It's just a tiny bit less pigmentated than the one by Rimmel London and looks a little bit brighter.

And here are the watches. The one by Rimmel London is my favourite one, I've been wearing it the most. I only just got my Miss Sporty one in the middle so I'm going to have to test that and the lip cream is one that I only wear when I go out, it's perfect because it's brighter than everything else and it stays longer. Just watch out because this one gets on your teeth easily!

My favourite red lip products!

Hi sweethearts!
I wear red lipstick on a daily basis and lately I have found two red lip products that are so good I decided to do a post on them.  Both of the products are drugstore so they are budget proof, but the quality is amazing as well!

The first red lip product that I have is the lipstick from Kate Moss by Rimmel London. It's called "111 Kiss of life" and it's the perfect cherry red! The lipstick has great pigmentation and stays on the whole day. You do need to re-apply it after eating.
I payed €9.45 for it, which is a pretty good price for such a good product.

The second product, I got last Friday but I'm really impressed by it already!
It's the Essence stay matt lipcream in "Silky Red". This is a bit like a lipgloss, it's just not sparkly or anthing, it's matt instead. The colour is - just like "Kiss of life" - outstanding. The lipcream is easy to apply.
It stays on a really long time and only needs a little bit of touching up after eating. Even after trying to wipe it off there was still a red stain on my lips.
I payed €1.99 for this product so you could really say it's a budgetproof top product!
