Face of the day: Some like it red!

Hello you guys! Today I wanted to show you my "face of the day", in other words, what I look like on a daily basis.
Yesterday the sun was shining so it was a good time to take pictures!
I have bangs, you don't see them in these pictures. I don't know what I want to do with them yet, they grow so fast! I might just grow out my bangs, it'll be easier for vintage hairstyles as well.
You'll find a list of all the products that I use on a daily basis below!

So this is what I always look like. As you can see I'm quite pale so I like to use a blush to make me look less 'dead' at times. Also liquid eyeliner is a part of my daily routine and I adore red lips. I don't always do red lips, like when I'm sick, my lips are hurting and dry, or when I have to work I skip the red lips. I haven't been wearing red lipstick often this week because I have exams; I go to school at 8, finish my exam and I can go home around 11am again so... I don't like waisting good lipstick ;)

Products used on my face:

FIT ME foundation in "115" by Maybelline
Catrice eyebrow pencil
Catrice "Apricot Smoothie" blush
Drugstore liquid eyeliner
Nivea Lash Elastic mascara
Rimmel London by Kate Moss in "111 Kiss of life"

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Outfit of the day: Flower dress

Hello lovelies!
I haven't been around much since I'm having exams at school next week, but I wanted to stop by to post this outfit. I'm wearing one of my favourite pin up dresses. It's a swing dress with cute little flowers on it and it has a tiny red belt. I think it looks lovely and it's even appropriate to wear in winter. It has been very cold here but I just put on two pairs of tights and I managed to wear it even though it was freezing outside.

Quick picture of my hair. My hair has trouble holding curl (especially the bangs because I have betty bangs so it's hard to succeed) but it actually worked out and I'm very happy!

Let me know what you think of the outfit and I hope to see you soon!
Have a lovely day!

Sending love

Pin up basic makeup items

Hi lovelies!
When I just started out with the whole "pin up" thing, I barely knew anything about it. I just knew that I liked it and that was that. The thing that fascinated me most back in the days was the vintage makeup.
Today I'm going to show you what the basic pin up makeup items are.

The first thing that I noticed is that pin up girls always have a perfect skin, they don't seem to be struggeling with acne or anything. So the first important thing to get is a foundation. I'm using the "fit me" foundation by Maybelline (in 115) but I would like to get a high coverage one because I do have some acne scars in my face that I'd like to hide. You can also use concealer if you need it.

I'm also very pale (a lot of pin-up girls are) so I like a little bit of blush as well, just to give your face a little bit more colour and also because it's adorable, I like that kind of "dollface" look. I like hot pink and peach blushes, right now I'm using a duo blush by Catrice called "Apricot Smoothie".

Next I have an items that's really important; an eyebrow pencil. Not only pin up girls always have the most gorgeous eyebrows, even in real life people think eyebrows are the frame of their face. So make sure they always look nice, and if you don't have them or you're insecure about them, you can always draw them on or fill them in with eyeshadow. I'm using a brown eyebrow pencil by Catrice.

And then I have all the products people know are important to us pin-up,vintage girls: liquid eyeliner, mascara, a neutral makeup palette and red lipstick.

The liquid eyeliner and neutral makeup palette are no brand but my mascara is the Lash Elastic mascara by Nivea and my lipstick is from Kate Moss by Rimmel London. It's called "Kiss of life" and it's the perfect red!

In the picture you can see I also have some fake lashes, but these are optional. You don't need them to complete your look, I don't even wear them everyday because I have pretty long lashes of my own.
These are "109" by Ardell.

Have a lovely evening!

Introductions

Hi guys!
Today is my first post. As you can see in the title of this blog, this blog is all about vintage and pin-up.
I love everything from the 1920's to the 1960's. Marilyn Monroe is my biggest inspiration, I wish I lived when she was alive.

Here where I live, it's not so common that girls dress the way I do; vintage, pin-up. I get asked a lot why I love "living in the past" so much?

I don't live in the past, I just like the style of the 1920's-1950's. Women would actually put on makeup, do their hair and wear lovely dresses and skirts all the time, even if it was just for going to the mall. Curves weren't forbidden and you wouldn't be called "fat" because you had love handles - it was insanely sexy.
"Elegant" was a standard and everyone seemed to be happier back then. That's why I love it so much.

I think the vintage pin-up look looks best on me, I'm not really a mainstream kind of person and I only like to wear jeans when it's freezing outside. Vans and oversized sweaters aren't my cup of tea either.
I like to collect vintage, elegant accessories, to wear red lipstick and to do my hair - just like back in the days. And the comments? Well, not all of them are negative, and at the end of the day the only one who should be happy with me, is me. Trust me, I am happy.

On this blog I will be writing about this vintage passion of mine.
Welcome!
